人生の大半をオレゴン州ベンドで過ごすが、最近、3年ほど住んでいた東京から戻り、英語を教えている。オレゴン大学で言語学の理学士号を取得し、第二言語習得教授法の資格も取得。在学中は、英文法、英語の発音、音声学、音韻論、第二言語教育など、言語に関するあらゆる面を研究した。

He has lived most of his life in Bend, Oregon, but recently returned from living in Tokyo, Japan where he had been living and teaching English for about three years. Received a Bachelor of Science in Linguistics from the University of Oregon, along with a Second Language Acquisition Teaching certificate. During his time in school he studied all aspects of language, including English grammar, English pronunciation, phonetics, phonology and second language teaching.

I graduated from the University of Iowa as a linguistics major specializing in ESL and English for specific purposes. I have TEFL and TESL certifications earned in Chicago. Born in Chicago and growing up in a multi-lingual home in Iowa City (USA), I enjoyed learning and listening to different languages. In addition, I play multiple musical instruments and percussion; I believe that music plays an essential part in language acquisition and improves listening accuracy. Therefore, studying language patterns, playing music, and instructing various subjects are significant parts of my teaching philosophy and experience.

マンチェスター大学でヨーロッパ学とポルトガル語の学士号を、ロンドン・メトロポリタン大学で会議通訳の修士号を取得しています。英国で2年間通訳の仕事をした経験があります。この経験により、明確で簡潔なコミュニケーションの重要性を学びました。私はCELTA認定の第二言語としての英語教師であり、2019年にはタイのバンコクの学校で1年間働きました。現在、私はトルコのイズミルに在住し、オンライン英語教師および翻訳者として働いています。

I hold a BA in European Studies & Portuguese from Manchester University and MA in Conference Interpreting from London Metropolitan University. I've spent 2 years working as an interpreter in the UK. This has taught me the value of clear and concise communication. I'm a CELTA certified English as a second language teacher and in 2019 I spent a year working at a school in Bangkok, Thailand. Currently, I reside in Izmir, Turkey where I work as an online English teacher and translator.

私はアメリカのテネシー州ナッシュビルで育ち、私立の大学進学予備校で語学への情熱が始まりました。そこで、ラテン語とスペイン語をそれぞれ3年間学びました。その後、ブリガムヤング大学の大学に進学し、ロシア語を2年間、ドイツ語を1年間、フランス語を1学期学び、語学習得の追求を続けました。大学を卒業する前に、1年半ほど日本に滞在する機会がありました。主に大阪（三国ヶ丘、岡町）に住んでいましたが、洲本、岡山、高松にも住んだことがあります。日本語の経験がなかった私は、日本語の会話とひらがな、カタカナの読み書きを学びました。日本では、大人や子どもに英語を教えたり、日本語で他の教科を教えたりしました。日本滞在後は大学に戻り、ブリガムヤング大学にて大学研究（専門研究）の学士号を取得し、言語とコミュニケーションのダブル副専攻で卒業しました。私は言語と、他の人が言語の目標を達成するのを助け、彼らの文化や背景を学ぶことが本当に好きです。私はTEFLの資格を持っており、あらゆる年齢層に英語と他の教科を教えた経験があります。

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, USA where my love of languages started at my private university preparatory school. There I studied both Latin and Spanish for three years each. I then attended college at Brigham Young University where I continued my pursuit of learning languages by studying Russian for two years, German for one year, and one semester of French. Before completing university, I had the opportunity to live in Japan for 18 months. I mainly lived in Osaka (Mikunigaoka and Okamachi), but I also lived in Sumoto, Okayama, and Takamatsu. Having no prior Japanese experience, I learned to speak Japanese and read and write Hiragana and Katakana. In Japan, I taught adults and children English and taught other subjects to them in Japanese. After my time in Japan, I returned to college and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in University Studies (Professional Studies) with a double minor in Language and Communication. I truly love language and helping others achieve their language goals and learning about their cultures and backgrounds. I have my TEFL certification and multiple years of experience teaching English as well as other subjects to all ages.
